About the Niuean language

Niuean is native to the Pacific island of Niue where it is spoken by almost all of the 1,600 inhabitants alongside English. Most Niuean people live in Auckland, New Zealand Aotearoa. Niuean is closely related to the Tongan language, and is a Polynesian language. Niuean has two main dialects; Tafiti and Motu.
