Urdu language learning games on Digital Dialects

The Urdu language is an Indo-Aryan language spoken in various parts of South Asia and in countries where Indians and Pakistanis have settled. Most Urdu speakers live in north and central India and Pakistan, and Urdu is closely related to the Hindi language. Hindi and Urdu together comprise the Hindustani language, with Urdu having more influence from the Persian and Arabic languages. Urdu is an official language in both India and Pakistan. In Pakistan, Urdu is the lingua franca and the only national language, even though it is the first language of less than 10% of the population. The BBC website's Urdu section has a lot of interesting facts about Urdu.
